Helena Juppala is awarded as the best military athlete in Finland in 2001. Her best achievements were european champion in standard rifle (3x20 shot, 300 m, 577 points), nordic military champion and five finnish national champions. More over she won the finnish military champion in standard rifle (3x20 shot, 300 m) by new finnish military record, which is now 587 points.

She is located, as a professonial sea coast guard, at Finnish Archipelago Sea Coast Guard District, in Turku, western Finland.
