Finnish Military Shooting Team

The finnish outstanding pistol shooter Kai Jahnsson is besides his
great shooting career
a true professional in his daily duty as naval search and rescue
operations.
The upsetting event of Copterline helicopter crash down 45 metres
sea bottom
near estonian coast 10.8.2005
touched among many finnish people especially him.
The helicopter pilot Peter Fredricksson (41), who was the only person not found during
authority
search operation after crash, was his pilot during ms Estonian rescue operation 22.9.1994.
That day was very black day in Baltic Sea history with 852 killed.
Peter and Kai co-operated in a same helicopter and rescued a lot of people together
during the long and tough day.
Overall there were 137 lucky person to survive.
After authorities stopped the search operation at
estonian coast
Kai and his collegues decided
that their friend must not be left to sea bottom for good
but have to be brought home and buried in finnish soil.
They organized a privat search operation with help of some
shipping companies and authorities.
Suprinsingly, only after some 90 minute tensioned use of under sea remote control
Loxus-robot
they found the pilot.
The mission was accomplished!
Among Kai there were also Mikko Simola, Jukka Torsti, Arthur Heickell
and Immi Wallin in rescue crew.
There were 14 dead in Sikorsky S-76 C+ helicopter sea crash.
Thank you Kai and fellows!
