Nordic Military Shooting Championships, Vekaranjärvi, Finland
The Finnish Military Shooting Team was unbeatable this year in Nordic Military event. The Finns won the best nation competition.
Especially the pistol team was outperforming. It won all the team competitions. In the smaller picture below Vaarala, Räsänen and Jahnsson.
The rifle team was just behind the norwegian team with two silver medals and one bronze. Vebjörn Berg gained 3 points more than standing
world military record in the military rapid fire rifle event: 581 (new NMR, CISM record: Stephen Goff, USA 578, Portugal 1988)

CISM-2006, Rena, Norway
The finnish military rifle team did well in military rapid fire rifle event in CISM-2006 in Norway.
First they took the bronze medal in the team match. The Team consisted of  Kari Pennanen,
Jussi Puustinen, Henri Häkkinen and Kimmo Tulonen.
Day after Henri Häkkinen was the best in the individual match. His score was 571 (196 - 187 -188).
He won Thomas Farnik (AUT) by one point and Juri Fedkin (RUS) by two points.

Säkylä-300, 3.6.2006
Aarne Markko was the super hero in Säkylä-300 competition while shooting 600 points in free rifle prone.
Aarne is the fourth finnish shooter to achieve this splendid result.

The FMST in regional-CISM, Plzen 24.-28.4.2006
The rifle shooters gained gold medal in standard rifle and silver medals in rapid fire rifle team event in regional CISM competition in Plzen.
The best finnish shooters were Kari Pennanen in SR-team (576), Henri Häkkinen in individual SR (582) and bronze in MRFR (566).
The other rifle shooters were Jussi Puustinen and Kimmo Tulonen.
The pistol team got silver in centre fire team event with Marko Räsänen, Pekka Vaarala, Keimo Korpioksa and Jari Javarus.
