Day#2
FIN pistol shooters continued good performances at 25m range on wednesday. FIN team gained 2305 points in military rapid fire pistol before Team Norway's 2298. The best Finn was Marko Talvitie scoring 586. The other Finns got as follows: Marko Räsänen 578, Kai Jahnsson 571, Ville Nousiainen 570 and Jorma Jäntti 565.

In the individual event Marko Talvitie was on the third place after loosing re-shoot to Jens Rasmussen (DAN) with 144 - 140. Their results in qualification were 585. The winner was Tore Jonessen (NOR) with 586. Other Finnish shooters scored: Marko Räsänen 583, Kai Jahnsson 581, Ville Nousiainen 571 and Jorma Jäntti 570.

The rifle team gained bronze medals after team Norway and Denmark. The best Finnish shooter in team event was Kari Pennanen 552, Toni Matilainen 549, Juha Rutonen 549, and Antti Kajan 506 and Ville Nokipii 537.

In the individual event Finnish shooters scored: Toni Matilainen 5558, Juha Rutonen 538, Kari Pennanen 532, Antti Kajan 500 and Ville Nokipii 500

In the female small bore rifle 3P event the Finn team was left in 4th place. The winnig team was Norway by 1694 points before Denmark 1687. The bronze medals went to Sweden by 1728 which was 16 points more than Finnish score. Nina Ojala scored 536, Eija Pulkki 532 and Kirsti Markko 502.

In the individual event Finnish shooters scored: Nina Ojala scored 544, Eija Pulkki 532 and Kirsti Markko 485.

Day #1
The first competition in Nordics was standard rifle 300m team event. The winner was, as awaited, team Norway by 2315 points. The second team was Denmark, 2297 points. The FIN team was on the third place by score 2237. Sweden was the fourth. Best shooters in the team event were Hans Kristian Wear (NOR) 584, Ole Bryhn (NOR) and rene Christiansen (DAN) 582.
The best Finnish shooter was Toni Matilainen 571 (194-188-189). Kari Pennanen shot 567 (kneeling 196), Juha Rutonen 562. The debytants Ville Nokipii got 537 and Antti Kajan 534.

In the meantime, the FIN pistol shooters were in a good mood at 25m range. As a flag bearer, Marko Räsänen shot 583, the second best result of the day after Pål Hembre's 587 (NOR), and showed to the other Finns the way to gold medals in team event. FIN team gained 2295 points before Norway's 2280, Denmarks's 2278 and Sweden's 2257. The other Finns scored as follows: Kai Jahnsson 574, Marko Talvitie 568, Jorma Jäntti 570 and Ville Nousiainen 562.

In the female small bore rifle prone event (60 shots) the Finn team was left in 4th place. The winnig team was Norway by 1743 points before Sweden 1739. The bronze medals went to Denmark by 1728 which was 16 points more than Finnish score. The best shooters in team event were Hanne Skarpodde (NOR) 589, Linda Olofsson (SWE) 583 and Ingrid Stubsjoen (NOR) 581. Nina Ojala scored 580, Eija Pulkki 572 and Kirsti Markko 562.
