Pistol Shooters

Jorma Jäntti (capt). Jorma’s main discipline is a centre fire pistol. Since 2008 in the military team he has achieved numerous podium places in the Nordic military shooting championships in centre fire pistol, military rapid fire pistol and pistol field shooting. Jorma has participated 3 times in the Military World Games. Besides military team he has participated also in a national team. Jorma has also a silver medal in centre fire pistol in the Lapua European Cup event in 2009.

Jorma’s personal bests are in centre fire 584 (580), military rapid fire pistol 580 (2010), standard pistol 572 (2010), air pistol 571 (2007), free pistol 549 (2008) and sport pistol 587 (2011).

Joonas Kallio (Ssgt). Joonas’s main discipline is an air pistol. In the military team he is competent especially in centre fire pistol. Since 2017 in the military team he has achieved podium places in the Nordic military shooting championships in centre fire pistol, military rapid fire pistol and pistol field shooting. Joonas has participated once in the Military World Games. Besides military team he has participated also in a national team. Joonas has been as an athlete in 10 metres European championships. Jonas was nominated as the best pistol shooter in the Swedish Cup 2018 in Sävsjö (SWE). He is also a Finnish champion in free pistol.

Joonas’s personal bests: centre fire 582 (2018), military rapid fire pistol 574 (2017), air pistol 587 (2018), free pistol 548 (2018), standard pistol 565 (2018) and sport pistol 586 (2019).


Jan Parhiala (Msgt). Jan is one of newest athletes in military team, he joined into military team 2018 and has won since medals in military championship and national championship, Jan is Finnish military champion in military rapid fire pistol 2019. Jan is also an athlete in the Finnish national team.

Jan’s personal bests: centre fire pistol 577, military rapid fire pistol 574, standard pistol 562 and sport pistol 581.

Marko Talvitie (capt). Marko’s main discipline is a rapid fire pistol. In the military team he is competent especially in military rapid fire pistol and field shooting. Since 2011 in the military team he has achieved numerous top podium places in the Nordic military shooting championships in centre fire pistol, military rapid fire pistol and pistol field shooting. Marko has twice participated in the Military World Games. Besides military team he has participated many years also in a national team. Marko has also a silver medal in rapid fire pistol in the World Cup Guangzhou (CHN) 2006 and the fourth place in World Cup final 2006 in Granada (ESP).

Marko’s personal bests: ISSF rapid fire pistol 584 (2006),  centre fire 583 (2003), military rapid fire pistol 579 (2018).

Petri Ylinen (capt). Petri’s main discipline is a centre fire pistol. Since 2007 in the military team he has achieved numerous podium places in the Nordic military shooting championships in centre fire pistol, military rapid fire pistol and pistol field shooting. Petri has participated 3 times in the Military World Games. Furthermore, in European Championships in Osijek 2013 he was in a national team to gain bronze medal in the centre fire pistol team match. He is also a Finnish champion in centre fire pistol.

Petri’s personal bests are in centre fire 585, military rapid fire pistol 586, standard pistol 574, air pistol 566 and sport pistol 586.
